'Year of the Cat' Limited Edition Print

Here is a print of my illustration for the cover of Al Stewart’s famous ‘Year of the Cat’ album. I painted it in1976, using inks and gouache applied with an airbrush. The line work was done with a Rapideograph pen. It was drawn on CS10 art board.

This LP established Al Stewart as one of the pre-eminent folk rock artists in the world and became a multi-million selling album.

The idea here was to compliment the title by illustrating a cover that depicted a person who was a cat obsessive, so everything in the image was inspired by cats.

This is a limited edition of 200 prints. Each limited edition art print is personally signed by the myself, and embossed with my artists' stamp.

This is a gallery quality, professionally printed giclée image which uses archival inks on Hahnemühle German Etching paper (310gsm). The manufacturer’s archival rating is over 35 years.

The approximate print dimensions are:
Image size of 32cm x 32cm on a sheet size of 42cm x 42cm. The outer border is printed in light grey.

Each art print is custom printed by my master printer, who is a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild.
